Youth deaths in Tabora-GRAPHIC PICTURES

I reported earlier of deaths of 19 children who died of suffocation at a local night club in Tabora, Tanzania. The night club is located in the top floor of this NSSF building. The architect, who designed the building, John Mlundwa, has said that the building was never designed for entertainment purposes. The names and ages of those who died are as follows:
Veronica Wanigu(7),Beatrice Makelele(14),Jacob Gerald(12), Salma Hamisi(12),Hadja Waziri(10),
Rehema Moto (12), Seleman Idd (11), Mrisho Seleman (10),Abdalah Rehan (14),Agatha Manigu(12),
Paulina Emanuel (11), Mohamed Kapaya (15), Ramla Yenga(15),Habiba Shaaban (14),
Donald Kasela (12),Mwanahamisi Waziri (11), Ashura Jabal (12) na Yasin Rashid (11).
The parents and relatives awaiting the news of the beloved ones.
The bodies of the dead children in the mortuary (Pictures: Mdau).

My take: where were the parents? Why did these parents allow these children who are as young as seven years old to go to a disco unattended? The parents are as at fault as the owner of this makeshift discotheque.

I don't blame the parents. Kids will be kids. For all we know, the young ones were taken there by older children/siblings. I wholly blame the disco owners for allowing overcrowding in the first place!

These children are dead because of GREED!

what a tragedy!if it happened at night i blame the parents, what kind of parents go to bed without knowing where their small children are?look at their ages, these are "babies".How do you even get some sleep?

Some of the parents didn't even know their kids were at a disco. It was during the daytime and many children are allowed to go to play grounds, the beach etc during Idd celebrations. Its just an unfortunate tragedy. Though I've read somewhere that some parents had earlier lodged a complaint letter to the local cultural office about the discos...the owner should be held accountable.
May God Rest their Souls in Peace.

Our parents needs education. These were too young to die. How could a sensible parent allow such a child to go to a night club entertainment.
Tanzania parents this is a wake up call to you all
